Push Down With Skin

Description:

The Pushdown is a premium ad unit that automatically expands downward pushing the site content down with it, expanding creative opportunities and capturing audience attention. The Pushdown unit then collapses into a persistent ad on the page which can be expanded by our users for additional information and functionality.

Most commonly used in a takeover with clickable skin and 100% SOV display.

Specs:

• Can be built out in flash or static HTML version. This unit is site served
• Clickable static skin built in house and optimized to 1280 screen resolution
• Tracked with pixel and click tag. Tracking and CT pixel(s) should be defined using flashvars or a XML file.
• Dimensions: Default State: 40 pixels high  / Expanded State: 400 pixels high (width varies depending on site)
• File Size: 50kb initial load max, 150kb subsequent load max for SWFs. Total File Size (Initial + Polite): 200k
• Expansion: unit auto expands and closes automatically w/out user interaction after 8 seconds. Unit remains closed once user initiates close button (cookie based)
• May include video functionality as long as user-initiated load is less than 1.5MB.
• Must contain a clearly defined Expand & Close buttons. Close buttons: Top right corner (Prominent and obvious)
• Video auto play – audio must be user-initiated / video user initiated – audio can automatically play.
• If video/audio is enabled, ad unit must contain play, pause and audio control buttons

Auto Expansion:

• Creative expands pushing the page content down – Allotted time duration: :01 second
• Creative animates in it’s expanded state – Allotted time duration: :05 seconds
• Creative retracts pulling the page content to its original state – Allotted time duration: :01 second

User Expansion:

• User clicks creative, ad expands pushing page content down – Allotted time duration: :01 second
• Creative animates in it’s expanded state – Allotted time duration: :15 seconds (if video :30 seconds)
• User clicks the close link, creative retracts pulling page content back to it’s original state – Allotted time duration: :01 second
