RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Campaign Management: Pre/Posts Sales: Media Planning, Reporting, Optimizations and strong knowledge of Google Products/Third party reporting systems to be utilized on a daily basis to deliver in full across all campaign elements
  • Understand client business needs, participate in solution development and effectively communicate solutions
  • Stay abreast of competitive offerings and industry best practices (ie. Viewability, Audience Targeting, Mobile, Video and Branded Content strategies)
  • Proactively manage Accounts, implement process, track performance, and provide reporting

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in digital media advertising (required),  at a music or entertainment publisher
  • Background in client-facing and/or sales-driven environments (agency and publisher experience is preferred)
  • Able to oversee multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high pressure
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or advance degree

Core Responsibilities:   

 
• Review of insertion orders for date availability and correct impression levels
• Creation of production schedules, asset lists, and other documents which keep each campaign organized
• Initiation and documentation of client kick-off calls
• Create media plans designed to meet client objectives
• Professional communication with client regarding items needed for trafficking
• Meticulous organization and documentation of campaign information to be accessed by groups such as Sales and Finance
• Consistent review of pacing and optimization to ensure each campaign is a success
• Creation of final reports for the Client and for billing purposes
 
  
Requirements:
 
• Microsoft Office Skills are a MUST, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
• Media or online experience preferred
• Exceptional relationship-building skills
• Strong data entry skills
• Good administrative writing skills
• Strong attention to detail

• High energy individual who thrives in a fast paced environment
• 1-2 years of relevant professional experience (this is a great job for someone eager to break into the world of online media)

SPIN.com Editorial Internship

Basic Information:
 
SPIN is seeking interns with strong backgrounds in writing and a serious interest in music and youth culture for editorial intern positions. SPIN employs interns during its Spring (January to May), Summer (June to August), and Fall (September to December) programs. Interns work 16-24 hours per week (two or three full days) and will receive college credit. All editorial internships are completed at our New York offices in Manhattan. SPIN does not provide housing or travel assistance.
 
About the Intern Program:
Interns are responsible for transcribing interviews, researching stories, updating release and event schedules, running errands, organizing mail, conducting interviews. Interns also pitch and write stories for SPIN
 
Application Materials:
Complete intern applications include a cover letter, résumé, and 2 to 4 clips. Applicants without published clips are encouraged to submit music-related pieces (reviews or news stories) written on their own. There is no formal application form.
 
Deadlines:

  • The application deadline for the Spring internship is December 15
  • The application deadline for the Summer internship is March 15
  • The application deadline for the Fall internship is July 15

Staff Writer, SPIN

Editorial | New York, NY, United States

Daily news writing duties include aggregating stories suitable for SPIN, blogging quickly and neatly, lending a compelling SPIN voice to news, and working to ensure the site’s on top of the 24/7 news cycle. We’re looking for a candidate to work five full days a week, including weekend hours (e.g. Wednesday-Sunday or Saturday-Wednesday, with flexibility concerning weekday shifts). Candidates should be self-starters capable of publishing and socializing posts when needed.

The news writer will also have the opportunity to pitch and contribute to other sections of the site as desired, including reviews, features, lists, interviews, and more.
