BUZZMEDIA is pleased to announce that Dylan Howard, editor-in-chief of its leading celebrity and entertainment news site Celebuzz, has been nominated by the Los Angeles Press Club for six National Entertainment Journalism Awards. The Los Angeles Press Club’s fifth National Entertainment Journalism Awards will recognize the best in arts and entertainment reporting on November 18 at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.
Celebuzz’s report published in April 2012 that exposed the feud between Chevy Chase, star of the NBC comedy series Community, and show creator Dan Harmon is a finalist in the Online News category. The report was written by Howard, who has also been nominated for the coveted Entertainment Journalist of the Year award. He previously won this award in 2011.
Howard’s reporting of Whitney Houston’s death in February 2012 has also been nominated for a Social Media award. He was an authoritative source live-tweeting the news for Radar Online, a member of BUZZMEDIA Entertainment, from the Beverly Hilton Hotel to more than 10,000 followers, and became an expert on the story for television programs including HLN and FOX News. Additionally for Radar Online, Howard’s story on the death of actress Natalie Wood is a candidate in the Investigative category.
Howard has also been nominated for two awards in the Print and Investigative categories for his prior work as Senior Executive Editor at Star Magazine.
