After six months in the making, BUZZMEDIA is proud to share the details of a unique integrated program. American Family Insurance in association with BUZZMEDIA partnered with Alabama Shakes to present an exclusive, free “Dream Show” for music fans in Chicago on September 11, featuring a full headlining set from one of today’s hottest acts — Alabama Shakes
Revolving around the campaign theme of “dreams and the pursuit of dreams,” BUZZMEDIA worked with Alabama Shakes to have them curate their own “Dream Show,” in which the band hand-picked Doc Dailey and the Pollies to share the stage and get them one step closer to achieving their dreams. Both artists hail from the Shakes’ home state of Alabama and share a similar Americana sound.
“Doing what we love for a living is already a dream for us, but playing with friends and fellow musicians from Alabama is even better,” said Alabama Shakes front-woman Brittany Howard
On August 22, American Family Insurance offered fans the opportunity to experience the memorable evening. Music lovers 21 and over could RSVP to the free event by liking American Family Insurance’s Facebook page to gain exclusive access to the triple-bill concert, taking place at Subterranean music venue in Wicker Park, Chicago. The show received over 4,000 RSVPs and the venue quickly reached capacity, with fans anxiously waiting from early afternoon to get wristbands.
The show was a tremendous success, with social promotion by the band, BUZZMEDIA, and American Family Insurance — and BrooklynVegan covering and teasing the next phase of the campaign, which launched this week. BUZZMEDIA produced four videos around the “Dream Show” starring the Alabama Shakes, Doc Dailey, and the Pollies that highlight their beginnings, their dreams, and the next phases of their burgeoning careers. All of the videos are now live on the American Family Insurance YouTube page and can be viewed across BUZZMEDIA Music sites.
With the custom hashtag #Dreamshow circulating the web, BUZZMEDIA and Alabama Shakes are proving that dreams do come true.
