Former Village Voice New Media Director Bill Jensen Named VP/GM of Music

LOS ANGELES, CA (January 24, 2012): BUZZMEDIA (www.buzz-media.com), the fastest growing company in the digital content landscape, today announced the appointment of Bill Jensen to the newly created position of Vice President/General Manager of Music.  Joining Jensen’s music team are Kim Persse as Director of Music Content and Industry Relations, and Nicole Cullinane as Executive Producer of Music Programming.

As Vice President/General Manager of Music, Bill Jensen will oversee the editorial content and strategic development of BUZZMEDIA’s 14 music properties.   Jensen joins BUZZMEDIA from Village Voice Media, where, as Director of New Media, he led the transformation of VVM from a legacy weekly newspaper chain into a multi-platform digital powerhouse, increasing its revenue by 800% and growing its online traffic by 400%.   Jensen also led the development and marketing of VVM’s mobile applications, which have been downloaded to date by more than 1.5 million users in the Android and iTunes stores.

Nicole Cullinane is BUZZMEDIA’s new Executive Producer of Music Programming.  Cullinane comes to BUZZ from MTV Digital in New York.  She’s also worked as an editor for Time Inc. and Hearst, and written for AOL, New York, People, and Publishers Weekly, among others.
