Director/Sr. Product Manager – Advertising (Los Angeles, CA)

BUZZMEDIA, the web’s fastest growing entertainment publisher reaching more than 100M monthly pop culture, music and entertainment enthusiasts worldwide, is searching for a Director/Senior Product Manager for its Advertising products and services.

The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for leading end-to-end product management. This will include product strategy, roadmap development and launch of all ad products and services, including developing new ad products, extending our in-house ad framework and integrating third-party services, across all channels (web, mobile, email, etc) and mediums (display, audio, video, etc).

This is a big job and the reward potential is huge; the Senior Product Manager’s work will service hundreds of major brands and agencies that rely on BUZZMEDIA’s properties and ad products to drive sales across BUZZMEDIA’s huge audience.

Desired Skills & Experience

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and align product strategy and roadmap with corporate KPIs
  • Write business and product requirements to evaluate, build and market
  • Collaborate with the UI, business development, marketing and engineering teams on PRDs/Agile user stories, UI specs, development schedules and launch plans
  • Work with external partners on product releases and serve as a representative of the company’s product to key partners and investors
  • Coordinate the communication of product launch features and customer benefits and ensure they are clearly explained to internal stakeholders
  • Actively monitor key product metrics and KPIs
  • Act as category expert within the company, backed up with competitive and market analyses
  • Evaluate existing and new products to provide constructive ideas for change

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager for massively adopted consumer Internet services
  • Deep experience with advertising products and services (both ad products themselves and injection, targeting and serving frameworks) across multiple channels and mediums
  • Strong experience presenting and collaborating on product design and definition with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science; MS CS or MBA a big plus
  • Outstanding body of work that demonstrates high quality, innovative deliverables and an exceptional understanding of consumer Internet behavior
  • Familiarity with collaborative tools such as wikis, bug-tracking systems and commonly used corporate software
  • Solid understanding of prominent Web, advertising, social, mobile, and video platforms
  • Ability to work with partners and other external parties in a professional and polished manner
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities based on market trends & and sales initiatives
  • Able to understand complex technical concepts
  • Excellent command of English
